Premier League Round 4 Fixture Predictions

                                                                                                                                        Luton 0 – 1 West  Ham

Interesting one to call for the Friday night Fixture, Luton are yet to get a point on the board and West Ham are coming off the back of two incredibly impressive wins against Chelsea and Brighton respectively. But this  is a game that will offer an entirely different test, in those fixtures the Hammers were able to sit back, soak up the pressure and then hit them on the break, this game you would imagine they will be the ones who will need to break Luton down. They should have enough to get the job done but this game should tell us just as much about West Ham as the previous two games.

                                                                                                                     Sheffield United 1 – 2 Everton

I am nothing if not optimistic, and there is no better example of that than my prediction for goals in this game! But with Everton finally having a striker that can hopefully put the ball in the back of the  net in Beto we think they should be able to use this game to finally get their season underway. The blades put a fantastic performance against EPL Champions Man city last week, so may fancy themselves here but despite our general optimism, even we wont be backing a United win here.

                                                                                                                     Manchester City 3 – 1 Fulham

Fulham are certainly growing into the season, making a mockery of North London in the space of days! But this City side look like they have barely got going and they are still swatting teams out the way! They left it late last weekend but we dont think their 100% record so far in the league is in any danger of spoiling this weekend. The real question is will Foden start, or will he be on the bench and ruin another weekend for FPL players?

                                                                                                                                      Chelsea 3 – 1 Nottingham Forest

Chelsea are looking a threat going forward and this is a perfect game to continue their project! At this point its pretty safe bet that Awoniyi will score given his incredible run he’s currently on, so that’s why we havn’t given Chelsea a clean sheet but we also think the Blues will have too much for a Forest side who blew a 2-0 lead against United last weekend. I wouldn’t completely rule out a Forest suprise but they will need to show some more solidity at the back if they are in with a chance.

                                                                                                                                        Burnley 0 – 2 Spurs

Only one league goal for Burnley so far this season and 0 points. Of course that doesn’t quite tell the whole story given the opposition they have played but the tough fixtures continue with this Spurs side hoping to brush off their early League Cup exit midweek. This will be a significantly different side to the team we saw against Fulham so we are expecting Tottenham to get themselves back in full swing.  I definitely feel harsh on this Burnley side but from the limited time ive seen them so far, I just cant see where their goals will come this season.

                                                                                                                                  Brentford 2 – 1 Bournemouth

Its hard to judge this Bournemouth side so early into their life under new Manager Iraola, considering the tough fixtures they have faced so far this season, so we may be being harsh here but we cant look past a Brentford win. Brentford are yet to lose this season, and have barely missed a beat since losing star striker Toney to a ban, and with the two teams looking to play and open brand of football, I think Brentfors will just get the edge with their decisiveness going forward.

                                                                                                                                       Brighton 3 – 3Newcastle

West ham have supplied the  blueprint of how to beat the high flying seagulls and Newcastle are a devastating team on the break, I definitely think there will be plenty of goals in this game, and it is a real tough game to call! Newcastle blew the chance to stamp their  intentions on the league when they lost to ten man Liverpool last weekend, and they will want to quell any fears amongst the fan base that last year was a purple patch rather than the new standard! should be a fun game this one, but its tough to call.

                                                                                                                         Crystal Palace 1 – 1 Wolves

Wolves finally got their season underway last week with their 1-0 win over Everton away from home, and we think this game will provide a real contentious, hard fought game between the two sides, as Palace themselves go into the game off the back of results that also don’t fairly reflect the performances they have put in. Both sides may be slightly lacking in the goals department as well as strong as the back so a 0-0 doesn’t seem out the question either.

                                                                                                                                        Liverpool 2 – 2 Aston Villa

This should be a fantastic match up. Aston Villa entered the season with a lot of high hopes, only to be dashed with a slice of reality when they were hammered by Newcastle on the opening day. But since then, they have gone to show the form that earnt the praise to being with scoring 7 in their last 2 games, and this will be the perfect test to prove to the rest of the league, that they can indeed mix it with the big boys. Liverpool on the other hand showed great resilience to grab all three points last weekend, and surely on the back of his cameo brace we will see Nunez starting for the Mersyside team, definitely a game you don’t want to miss.

                                                                                                                                        Arsenal 3 – 1Manchester United

Form will somewhat go out the window when these two arch rivals square off during the showpiece of this weekends games. Arteta is on the receiving end of a few murmers from the Arsenal faithful due to his early season tinkering which so far has arguably been less than convincing but the stats show they are still putting in the better side in every game they play in. The home advantage will play a factor, although Arsenal have actually been a lot more vulnerable defensively at home rather than away for some strange reason, I think ultimately they will just have too much for a United side who looks just as unbalanced but have at no point looked nearly as dominant.
